We - in the organization - have initially studied the status, in which we found
that our first step should be in the direction of education (female blind education), which needs special
devices/tools to deal with the blind and to deliver data to the mind of female students easily. Therefore, we
have provided all equipments for the Institute of the Martyr Fadhl Al-Halali to be the first specialized
institute in the field of teaching the female blinds.
In addition to that, the organization have qualified
female teachers specialized in the field of blind training, also, these female teachers were trained on the
machines and instruments used in this field. The organization has financed all operational expenditures e.g. salaries,
equipment, furniture, specialized teaching materials (Braille) and provide transportation for each female blind
from and to the institute.
The study starts in the institute from the first preparatory class (kindergarten) up to the fifth
basic class, in which the programs of the Ministry of Education for those classes are given to the students
through the raised font method. The total beneficiaries from the institute up to now are (75) female blinds.
From our experience in the learning process on the Institute of the Martyr Fadhl Al-Halali for Female Blinds, and due to the blind's understanding weakness caused by the blind handicap, and the darkness of blind's families on how to educate and train the blind child, we found that blind children should take a specialized program before they join in the institute, they have to be trained on fundamentals of the special blinds education. Therefore, we provide an Early Interference Program "EIP", which is implemented by Al-Dheya Preparatory School for Blinds (opened on 2004). The EIP put the whole world on the imagination of blind child through developing the touch sense, also, Al-Dheya Kindergarten trains the child on the art of movement and direction, introduce the first steps on learning raised spots, and simple calculating processes.
